I have great news!!!
I have just collaborated with Quiet Mind studio to teach my regular Tuesday/Thursday 8:30am Yoga On The Beach class, on a piece of private beach (not town) right by the Wellfleet pier and Mac's.
Classes are by pre-registration only, through Quiet Mind Studio and are limited to the state-mandated nine students. Please register early if you are interested:
Those of you who know me know that I *love* teaching yoga and only do it in the summer because Wellfleet is such a magical and healing place. I am looking forward to seeing you again.
This certainly is an unusual time that we are living in. Many of us are feeling eager now to get out but aren't sure how safe we feel with that. Yoga gives us the space to notice our deep, inner feelings and with that an opportunity to re-connect with ourself, to re-center and feel grounded again.
In addition, if you have a yard or patio and would be willing to "host" a small class, please let me know -- I am happy to lead pop-up classes around Wellfleet this year to meet the need, as classes are mandated to be so small. All payment must be made through Venmo.
I am in a dialogue with the pastor at St. James the Fisherman (next to the Wellfleet post office) about holding classes on their large patio and they are very interested; we are knocking out some of the details and I will let you know here and on Facebook if and when live classes will begin!
As always, I am available for private one-on-one or small group classes.
Please feel free to contact me at if you have any questions!
What kind of yoga classes will they be?
I teach Kripalu Yoga, which is a specific style of Hatha yoga that employs a compassionate approach with an emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation. My classes begin with breathing exercises and gentle stretches, followed by a series of poses. We will end with a brief relaxation and meditation session.
Kripalu Yoga is intended as a holistic practice and uses the life-force energy called Prana to heal, rejuvenate and allow students to discover their own spiritual path.
For more information or questions/concerns about poses: (781) 789-8725.
What materials do I need?
Beach: Bring a towel! (There is ample free parking and a bike rack).
Prez Hall: Mats are available to borrow for free!
Many students ask me for the affirmation that I read at the end of each class, so I've posted it here:
I am infinite, eternal, and whole.
I embrace the fullness of life.
I let go of my attachments
And I appreciate everything that I have.
More about me:
I received my original teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and meditation in Lenox, MA. I have earned advanced training certifications from around the globe, logging more than 500 hours (and counting!), including special interest training in the Bhagavad Gita, meditation, and fascia/anatomy studies.
I have been teaching yoga in Wellfleet since 2013, both at Wellfleet Preservation Hall and at Quiet Mind Studio. Additionally, every year since 2014, I have obtained special permission from the Wellfleet Board of Selectmen to teach yoga on Mayo Beach, which is located across from the Town Recreation Department.
You can also treat yourself to private, semi-private, or group yoga classes with me; investment in your health, your happiness, and your spirit!
