Summer 2021
First and foremost, I want to let you know that, holistic as I am, I have been fully vaccinated and believe that we all need to do our part to keep each other safe and healthy.

It's official: I will be teaching at Preservation Hall at 9am on Fridays, beginning on June 25!!
Classes will be 75 minutes and will be limited in size to avoid crowding.  To this end, PRE-REGISTRATION is required.  Call, text or email me to register (please state the date of the class or classes) and I will return your message letting you know if there is a space for you.  Pre-payment by Venmo will be required to hold your space, due to space limitations.  If you don't have or don't know how to use Venmo, let me know and we can work something out.

I am also teaching Yoga on the Beach, behind Mac's on the pier on Thursdays, beginning on June 24!
There will be NO DROP-IN BEACH CLASSES.  Please register for my classes on the Quiet Mind Studio site www.quietmindstudio.com
Classes will usually begin at 8:30am and run 75 minutes.

Pre-registration enables us to change the start time of class if we are expecting an especially high tide!  The beach has eroded and we have had some rather high tides, especially during a full or new moon.  This is just one of the wonderful quirks of doing yoga in a natural setting!  Please note well the class time when you register.
If you are still reading, I would like to propose another class if there is interest:  I have a peaceful space in my yard that will be perfect for a morning meditation/yoga stretch class.  If six-to-eight of you are interested in joining a group like this, please let me know and we can work out the details!
Those of you who know me know that I *love* teaching yoga and only do it in the summer because Wellfleet is such a magical and healing place.  I am looking forward to seeing you again.

This certainly is an unusual time that we are living in.  Many of us are feeling eager now to get out but aren't sure how safe we feel with that.  Yoga gives us the space to notice our deep, inner feelings and with that an opportunity to re-connect with ourself, to re-center and feel grounded again.
As always, I am available for private one-on-one or small group classes.
In addition, if you have a yard or patio and would be willing to "host" a small class, please let me know -- I am happy to lead pop-up classes around Wellfleet this year.
Thank you for coming to my site!  You can also follow me and get yoga updates on my Facebook page (Della Spring).

What kind of yoga classes will they be?

I teach Kripalu Yoga, which is a specific style of Hatha yoga that employs a compassionate approach with an emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation. My classes begin with breathing exercises and gentle stretches, followed by a series of poses. We will end with a brief relaxation and meditation session.

Kripalu Yoga is intended as a holistic practice and uses the life-force energy called Prana to heal, rejuvenate and allow students to discover their own spiritual path.

For more information or questions/concerns about poses: (781) 789-8725.

What materials do I need?

Beach: Bring a towel! (There is ample free parking and a bike rack).

Prez Hall: Mats are available to borrow for free!

Many students ask me for the affirmation that I read at the end of each class, so I've posted it here:

I am infinite, eternal, and whole.

I embrace the fullness of life.

I let go of my attachments

And I appreciate everything that I have.

More about me:

I received my original teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and meditation in Lenox, MA. I have earned advanced training certifications from around the globe, logging more than 500 hours (and counting!), including special interest training in the Bhagavad Gita, meditation, and fascia/anatomy studies.

I have been teaching yoga in Wellfleet since 2013, both at Wellfleet Preservation Hall and at Quiet Mind Studio. Additionally, every year since 2014, I have obtained special permission from the Wellfleet Board of Selectmen to teach yoga on Mayo Beach, which is located across from the Town Recreation Department.

You can also treat yourself to private, semi-private, or group yoga classes with me; investment in your health, your happiness, and your spirit!
