Summer Yoga - 2023
Yoga on Mayo Beach
Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:30 am
Fridays 9:00 am
Welcome. I am so glad you found me!
My classes are designed to be fun and accessible to every body -- strong ones as well as those that could use a little TLC. I will guide you through the poses in a way that will keep you safe while building strength and flexibility.
For beach classes, please bring a towel, water and wear sunscreen. We won't need props. There is ample free parking and a bike rack at the Mayo Beach lot on Kendrick Avenue.
For indoor classes, bring your own mat if you have one. If you don't you can borrow one from Prez Hall. I bring a variety of props; you are welcome to borrow them or bring yours. There is street parking and a lot across the street.
We begin class with centering, warm-ups and gradually move into to asanas with time for self-reflection and self-compassion. We focus on breath and alignment to keep our bodies safe and happy. Yoga on the beach is an amazing ever-changing setting. Each class is truly unique. Indoor classes are magical in their own way and will leave you feeling peaceful and refreshed.
Classes are $18 for a 70-minute class
A "class-pass" is available for $75 (only $15 each for 5 classes) and is valid for both beach and Prez Hall classes.
I accept cash and Venmo only.
Proceeds from my classes go to The Mother Miracle School in Rishikesh, India. I have visited the school personally and know that our dollars are changing the lives of many youngsters by taking them out of the cycle of poverty. If you would like more information about the school, please let me know.
As always, I am available for private one-on-one or small group classes.
I am also available for private life-coaching sessions. Please see the rest of my website for details about how I can help you through a transition!
Thank you for coming to my site. You can also follow me and get yoga updates on my Facebook page (Della Spring). Cancelled beach classes due to weather will be posted on Facebook.

What kind of yoga classes will they be?
I lead Kripalu Yoga, which is a specific style of Hatha yoga that employs a compassionate approach with an emphasis on meditation, physical healing and spiritual transformation. My classes begin with breathing exercises and gentle stretches, followed by a series of poses. We end with a brief relaxation and meditation session as well as a short reading.
Kripalu Yoga is intended as a holistic practice and uses the life-force energy called Prana to heal, rejuvenate and allow students to discover their own spiritual path. I am also certified to teach Yin Yoga and incorporate it into my classes when appropriate.
Many students ask me for the affirmation that I say at the end of each class, so I'll post it here:
I am infinite, eternal and whole.
I embrace the fullness of life.
I let go of my attachments
And I appreciate everything that I have.
More about me:
I received my original teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Meditation in Lenox, MA. I have earned advanced training certifications from all around the globe, logging more than 700 hours (and counting), including special interest training in Yin Yoga, the Bhagavad Gita, meditation and fascia/anatomy studies.
I have been teaching yoga in Wellfleet since 2013, both at Wellfleet Preservation Hall and at Quiet Mind Studio. Additionally, every year since 2014, I have obtained special permission from the Wellfleet Board of Selectmen to teach yoga on Mayo Beach, which is located across from the Town Recreation Department.
